The pathway

How it works

A closed-loop pathway: screened in the UK, operated in Durban, recovered by the ocean, followed up at home — with clinical governance at both ends.

Step by step

A closed-loop pathway — not a referral agency

Every step is managed and clinically supervised, from the first UK consultation to full recovery at home. The patient never has to assemble anything themselves, and never re-enters the NHS queue at the end of it.

Screen in the UK

Consultation, records review, fit-to-fly assessment and a fixed quote in pounds — through our telemedicine portal.

Operate in Durban

Accredited specialists and robotic theatres at our anchor hospital; treated within the visit, not months later.

Recover & restore

Monitored recovery, nursing and a premium stay by the ocean — with an optional safari and holiday add-on.

Follow-up in the UK

Structured 30, 60 and 90-day aftercare at home, so the pathway closes properly.

Money flow

Paid in the UK, before departure

Payment is made in the UK before the patient travels. Kiros Healthcare then transfers funds to South Africa to pay the hospital, hotel and service providers as treatment proceeds.

Profit remains in the UK entity — a clean, transparent structure, with revenue recognised in the UK and the South African cost base paid downstream.

What that protects

The patient is not wiring money to a foreign clinic they have never met, and is not exposed to currency movement between quote and surgery. The price agreed in the UK is the price.

What it means for an investor

Revenue is recognised in a UK-registered company, under UK contract and consumer law, with the South African cost base paid downstream.

Clinical governance

Supervised at both ends

Kiros Healthcare is a supervised medical pathway, not an unmanaged trip abroad. Oversight runs on both sides of the corridor, and a telemedicine portal joins them into one continuous record.

UK oversight

South African oversight

In-country medical oversight is led by Dr Devan Moodley with Team 24/7, giving round-the-clock medical support throughout the patient’s stay, alongside the treating hospital’s own clinical teams.Source 2: [2]

Telemedicine portal

A secure platform connecting patient and clinical team before the trip — screening, records, fit-to-fly — and after it, through structured 30/60/90-day follow-up.Source 3: [3]

A note on the treating clinicians. The surgeons and specialists who deliver treatment are the anchor hospital’s own consultants, not Kiros Healthcare staff. We describe the hospital’s capability at organisation level and do not name individual doctors on this site.

Three tiers

One corridor, three ways to travel it

About 2–4 weeks for a clinical visit, and about 6–8 weeks for the full recovery-plus-safari option. The financial model uses a conservative 30-night average.

Clinical / Lean

~2–3 weeks — At or below UK private

Premium Restoration

~6–8 weeks — Full recovery experience

Bundle / Couples

One trip — Multiple treatments combined

Optional add-ons while in Durban: dental, aesthetics, optometry, weight-loss and wellness, and physiotherapy. See the full list.
